The TAG Transaction Switch™ is a low cost, robust, plug and play software program that is used to exchange XML business documents between trading partners across the Internet. In fact, it can cost you less than $1,000 plus a small desktop computer to get started.

No Transaction Fees

When you use the TAG Transaction Switch you connect directly with your trading partners through the Internet. There are no third party transaction fees to pay. You always have control of your own information.

RosettaNet Standard and More

The TAG Transaction Switch™ implements  a subset of the RosettaNet, standard, one of the most successful global eCommerce standards in the world today,  As a result, the movement of business documents through the Internet using the TAG Transaction Switch™ is far more reliable than through ordinary E-mail, FTP or file transfers. It is also considerably less expensive than EDI.

The TAG Transaction Switch™ can handle any XML business document containing enough information to identify where it is going and where it is coming from.  This includes all of the RosettaNet asynchronous PIP®s such as PIP 3A4 Request Purchase Order, PIP 3B2 Notify of Advance Shipment and PIP 3C3 Notify of Invoice.  It also includes all ePSA compliant PIPs and TPTs as well as BizTalk, ebXML and other XML based business documents.

Reliability

Reliability is achieved by the Switch through a carefully designed choreography of messages for each transaction. This choreography requires receiving partners to acknowledge each business message, sending partners to retry if a message is not acknowledged properly and both trading partners to send well defined error messages when business messages are lost, fail to conform or are damaged.

From Desktops to Multiprocessors

Entry level versions of the TAG Transaction Switch™ runs successfully on any low cost Windows system capable of running Microsoft Windows 2000 or XP.  The Internet connection to the switch can be  “occasional” through a dial-up modem or “permanently connected” through cable, DSL or T1. The switch will also run as a Windows service. Advanced versions can be spread across 3 and more processors for maximum throughput and performance. 
  

TAG Family of Products

TAG 120D - Turnkey eCommerce messaging system for exchanging XML business transactions across the Internet using HTTP or SMTP protocols. Maximum outbound message volume is 120 documents/hr.  Requires a desktop computer with at least a Pentium III @ 800 MHz with 256 Meg memory, 56K dialup modem or direct Internet connection Windows 2000 or XP Desktop. Transformer is not included.

TAG 250DS - Turnkey eCommerce messaging system for exchanging XML business transactions across the Internet using HTTP or SMTP protocols Maximum outbound message volume is 250 documents/hr. Requires a desktop computer or server with at least a Pentium IV @ 1.4 GHz with 500 Meg memory, 56K dialup modem or direct Internet connection, Windows 2000 or XP Desktop or Server. Transformer not included.  

TAG 500S - Turnkey eCommerce messaging system for exchanging XML business transactions across the Internet using HTTP or SMTP protocols Maximum outbound message volume is 500 documents/hr. Includes integrated transformer that converts files as they move in and out of the TAG Switch. We recommend a server that has a Pentium IV @ 2.0 GHz with 1Gig memory, direct Internet connection, Windows 2000 or XP Server.

TAG 2000S – Turnkey eCommerce messaging system for exchanging XML business transactions across the Internet using HTTP or SMTP protocols Maximum outbound message volume is 2000 documents/hr. Includes integrated transformer that converts files as they move in and out of the TAG Switch. We recommend a server that has a Pentium IV @ 3.0 GHz with 1Gig memory, direct Internet connection, Windows 2000 or XP Server.

TAG MP10KS – Turnkey, multi-processor eCommerce messaging system for exchanging XML business transactions across the Internet using HTTP or SMTP protocols Maximum outbound message volume is 10,000 documents/hr. Includes integrated transformer that converts files as they move in and out of the TAG Switch. Requires 3 servers for Inbound, Outbound and the Transaction Database respectively.  We recommend each server have a Pentium IV @ 3.0 GHz with 1Gig memory, direct Internet connection for Inbound and Outbound machines, Windows 2000 or XP Server.

TAG TRX-1 – Integrated transformer that converts files as they move in and out of the TAG Switch. Typically used to convert flat ASCII files to XML, XML to flat ASCII files or XML to XML. Works with all versions of the TAG Transaction Switch.
